Pin-up school with badges of style

Students at a Lancashire school are showing they have badges of style.
They are snapping up £1 pins in support of tthe Happy House.
The badges were the fundraising brainchild of teacher Joanne Rossall, whose class at St Aidans CE Technology College, Preesall, sponsors Happy House child, Linus, aged three.
They are enjoying following the progress of the little boy who arrived at the Happy House with his older sister, Milly, then six, when he was a just a baby.

Widowed whilst she was pregnant, she was destitute, living in a slum,  and unable to provide for even the most basic needs of her children.
She has since started to rebuild her life, has a job and home in Nairobi and is now able to support Milly who has returned to live with her.
Pupils in K7 at St Aidan's receive regular updates and pictures of Linus from our family, and have held a number of enterprising and successful fundraising events in school for the Happy House.
The badges are the latest, and they are selling like hotcakes!
But Mrs Rossall says that they are reserving one ... just for Linus.
Another treasure for his memory box!
Thank you to everyone at St Aidan's you really are such special friends.
Pictured showing off the badges are: Back, Alex Graham and Will Farrow; front, Anna Loveland, Maddi Porter and Kayley White.
In the news.....
Thank you to the Blackpool Gazette for publishing a story about the children from another Lancashire school, Larkholme Primary, Fleetwood, whose pupils have joined the sponsor family of one of our newest babies, Athman.
