Happy talk at Layton churches

The combined congregations of churches in Layton, Blackpool, came out in force last night for a Happy House cofffee evening.
The event at St Anne of Greenlands, in Salmesbury Avenue, was hosted by Layton Churches Together.
The guests, who varied from members of the youth group to senior members of the churches, opened their hearts and their pockets to our children.
Elizabeth Gomm went along to tell them about Mama Sue and Papa Dave and the wonderful home they have created for a growing family, where young lives are being saved and transformed.
She showed a video which gave them an opportunity to see and hear Mama for themselves and which both moved and inspired.
The final count is yet to be done but David Leach announced that it was likely to to be in the region of £400.
Thank you so much to St Anne's treasurer David Leach, secretary Kate Iddon (pictured with Elizabeth) and to the committee who must have worked so hard to bring the evening together, to all those who supported it in any way and showed such kindness to our children and also to Happy House helper Andrea Manders, who is in Natasha's sponsor family, for  her help.
We are so happy to have you all amongst our friends.
