Home is where the heart is

Home is a special place.

Home is a place with a family who loves you; a Mama and Papa who cherish you, brothers and sisters who play with you.

Home is a place where you always feel safe.

Home is a place of fresh cooked meals, occasional treats, and, at the end of a day, a comfortable bed.

To our 108 children, every one from a background of hardship, loss or abuse, our Happy House is the place they call home.

It is the place where memories made today will be stored deep in their hearts to be recounted in the future to their own families.

Then they will say, with affection and pride, just as Mama always hopes:

 "I was happy to be a  Happy House kid"

Thank you to visitors to our school -Danilo and Frederica Galli and their son Samuele, from Rome,   for the gifts of juice and biscuits.

They came to see the school after hearing about it from their friend Patrizia Antonelli.

They will be kept in our Happy House storeroom ready for a special treat for our children.We hope you enjoyed your visit .

Building a Bright Future
Our Happy House kids have had a bleak past, we turn their lives around and put them on the road to a bright future.
Education is key in that. We are giving them the best education possible in Happy House kindergarten and primary schools, we must take that on through secondary school.
