Mama Sue, Uncle Billy and a party of our football-crazy kids have been on a visit to a football academy in Malindi.
They were invited by organiser Freddie del Curatolo who is doing fantastic work with kids from the city's slums.
Uncle Billy tells us there are now plans in the offing to give our children a chance to have formal football training.
"Teacher Athman is equally lucky since he will be trained to coach to world class FIFA football standards and Mr Freddie is willing to have a coach coming to the Happy House on a regular basis.
"We were so glad to realise that they are also keen in promoting education, talent and discipline - if they do not keep their commitment to attend they are excluded for six months and only readmitted after thorough screening.
"Our kids got a chance to train together with their Malindi peers and they really enjoyed it.
"We are looking forward to arranging their weekend visits to the Academy."
