A great friend to our children and a fantastic fundraiser, Lesley Pidcock celebrated her 50th birthday on Saturday with typical generosity - by forgoing gifts and asking guests at her party to post donations for the Happy House instead!
She even had a red letterbox, customised with a pictured of her sponsor kids Janet and Natasha, for them to use at her birthday bash at a hotel in Doncaster , Yorkshire.
Among her guests were Happy House friends from the Red Rose county Elizabeth Gomm, Lynn McCluskey (pictured with Kathryn Pidcock) and Andrea, Paul, Ellena and Alex Manders (pictured). Andrea also sponsors Natasha and she and Lesley have become great friends.
It was a lovely evening for everyone, thanks to Lesley's organisation, and she looked radiant as she arrived with her husband, Alan walking the red carpet for her own dedicated paparazzi snapper!
Their children Matt, James and Kathryn, her dad , brother and other relatives and many friends ensured she had the time of her life.
Lesley had put up a Happy House display spreading the word about Mama Sue, Papa Dave and all the family and Elizabeth had the pleasure of surprising Lesley with a handmade card from from our Kenyan kids.
Her generous friends donated a total of £500. A huge thank-you to Lesley and to everyone who supported her birthday appeal.
Mama Sue is looking forward to saying thank-you personally when Lesley presents her donation at our charity night on March 16.
