Understanding and being able to use computer technology is vital to kids in the 21st century.
At Happy House we are lucky to have a dedicated computer room which is in constant use by pupils from kindergarten through to secondary school.
Some computers were reconditioned when we got them, and, as with all things, heavy use, coupled with climate conditions, take their toll.
We must urgently raise £3,500 to buy new 3 new CPUs and to buy 5 new upright computers to ensure students no longer have to share.
Our school population has increased since we reduced the not-for-profit fee to make learning the Happy House way more accessible to our challenged community. These local kids learn alongside the children living in our full time care at Happy House children's home and the 87 young people, from abject poverty, who are on free-place scholarships -the majority not yet sponsored.
