Spoontacular act of kindness

With so many meals to serve to hungry kids at Happy House, plus all the hundreds who have their lunch at school, our spoons take quite a battering.
In the four years since we asked you to donate polycarbonate spoons , bought direct from manufacturer, Harfield Tableware, the number of kids we feed each day has increased and we again faced a cutlery shortage.
Auntie Libby contacted Harfield in Stockport, who in 2013 had kindly donated 100 spoons,  to ask if they could consider giving us some more spoons and general manager Jo Cooper responded immediately to say they would not only give us 500 spoons but  also had other items of tough tableware, plates and bowls,  from discontinued lines that we could have.
We were delighted to say yes, and lots of goodies arrived at Libby's home in Blackpool.
With spoons a priority, Auntie Libby packed as many as she could carry plus some of the plates and bowls to bring out with her from the UK, while she has distributed more to other friends who will bring them when they arrive in the next month.
She still has more back in the UK to get out as and when people are able to collect them from her and take them when they travel to Kenya (offers gladly accepted!)
We  are absolutely thrilled with this lovely colourful and heavy duty tableware and cutlery, and send thanks from all our family to the very generous people at Harfield.
Their cheerful gifts will brighten up every mealtime
