Happy House at Home raises £964

Andrea (in red) welcomes guests
A wonderful Sunday afternoon of fundraising and friendship raised £964.
It was hosted by Andrea Manders and her family at their home in Poulton, Lancashire.
Andrea, who has been supporting Happy House since Sue was fundraising to build it, will be travelling out for her first visit in eight days time, along with her daughter Ellena and son Alex.
They will be doing some volunteer work while they are there and Andrea wanted to raise enough money to buy food for our family for the duration of their 12 day stay.
Thanks to her generous friends she has well exceeded her target thanks to the generous people who attended and also those, unable to go, who made donations.
The sun shone on her Happy House at Home yesterday and guests were able to enjoy a glass of Pimms, served by Andrea's husband, Paul, in their lovely garden.
There was a sales table, with some stunning handmade craft creations by Andrea, books, a bring and buy, raffle and guess the name of the elephant.
A huge chocolate cake, donated by a friend, went up for auction and went for a winning bid of £31 to a very happy young man called Oscar.

Andrea, who is in the sponsor family of Priscilla and sponsors scholarship student Anne,  was absolutely delighted with the massive amount raised.

"A huge thank you to everyone who supported us," she said.
And many thanks from all the Happy House family to Andrea, Paul, Ellena and Alex, to her mum Peggy who helped all afternoon, and to all her friends.
Your kindness will bring so much to the youngsters whose lives are being transformed by the work of our founders, Mama Sue and Papa Dave and all their team.
