The Happy House was chosen as one of two charities to benefit from fundraising during Helen Duckworth's 2014-2015 term as president of Fylde Soroptimist International.
And when Elizabeth Gomm went along to their meeting at the Glendower Hotel, St Annes, give the group an update on our family's progress, Helen told her:
"When I think of Happy House it makes me smile."
The Happy House story radiates love and happiness of tragic lives transformed and Helen and and fellow members were delighted to hear how far we have come in the past five years and to see videos of our children at home and in school.
Fylde Soroptimists have been a tremendous support of the years and it's lovely that Helen chose us to benefit from her year of office.
It was also a great pleasure for Elizabeth to meet the Mayoress of Fylde, Val Eastham, who as an honorary member of the club had been particularly interest to come to this meeting. The Mayor , Cllr Kevin Eastham, popped in towards the end.
Thank you to everyone for making Elizabeth so welcome and to those of you who bought Happy House bags or bracelets.
