Gearing up for a challenge

With just a week to go, our intrepid cyclists are in full training.
Chris O'Hare, who is organising Wheelers for Watamu Coast to Coast in a Day Cycle Ride,  his girlfriend, Gabriella Gratrix, and others taking part, many from Poulton Wheelers,  are making sure that they are up to the challenge of the 150-miles epic from Whitby, on the Yorkshire coast, across the Pennines to Blackpool, in Lancashire.
They are also trying to raise as much money as they can for the Happy House where Chris, Gabriella and Chris' son, Jacob,14, will be volunteering this summer.
Chris, a keen cyclist, has brought together more than 20 cyclists for the event.
The Coast to Coast is next Saturday, June 14, and we would like as many as people as possible to turn out to greet them when they reach the finish on Blackpool's Comedy Carpet. We don't have an exact time but it's likely to be between 7pm-8pm.
If you can come along and would like a text message to give you warning of their arrival (we will try to give you at least 40 minutes) please message your name and number to Elizabeth Gomm on 07905 130 589.
They are going the extra mile, so it would be good if we can too!
