On the boil

Practical science is really popular with our older primary children
This week they went into the kitchen where their teacher could use a pan to boil water - an essential requirement for his lesson.
Photographer Sheila Davies ,who is visiting our family, was invited to watch.
She said:"The pupils were learning that water contains air, and with a very practical demonstration of putting cold water in a clear container into very hot water, this was so clearly explained, as they could see the bubbles forced out of the water as hot and cold collided.
"They all really enjoyed, it, and were soon asking questions as to what would happen if you put hot water in a clear cup into cold water.......
"Enquiring minds being developed in the best possible way. I am so pleased to be here to help capture lessons in this way."
