Mwende has spent most of her life at Happy House.She was 18-months-old when she came to us, with her older brothers Musyoka and Francis, as some of our very first children in 2010.The children maintained strong links with their grandparents, who at the time were unable to care for them, and when it was possible they returned to live with their blood family.But Mwende found it difficult to adjust and returned to our care as Mama always promises: Once at Happy House kid, always a Happy house kid!.Here she tells you a bit more about herself.
