The standard of teaching in their school had deteriorated and the children, who are all eager to learn, knew they were not achieving the results they should be.
With Musyoka due to take his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education next year he was worried about his performance.
We have kept a regular check on the children and Mama has spoken to them regularly, so she was deeply concerned to hear that things were not as they had been in school.
With his grandad's cooperation we looked for a new school for the children but because of the remote location of their homestead there was nothing else within reach.
They have been well looked after and very happy with their grandad and they will continue to see him whenever possible.
He made the nine hour journey to Watamu with the trio to bring them to Happy House and they have settled in as if they have never been away.
They are just the same happy, confident, kids who grew up with us for almost six years ... just bigger!
Welcome home you beautiful kids.
Once a Happy House kid, always a Happy House kid!
