It was Priscilla's turn to to make a presentation to the Happy House family with her talk on bananas.And the children, who love bananas, learnt a lot about the health benefits of the fruit which is a favourite all the world over.Priscilla had researched and prepared her talk using the internet.Tomorrow it will be the turn of Rukia.
It's the rainy season in Watamu and with one washing machine in for repair, the second from our Happy House laundry has broken down.Any parent will know that sinking feeling when that the washer fails, so imagine how Mama Sue feels with 60 kids to keep clean and no washing machine!. Eager to show off how well they are doing at their times tables, our Happy House children said them aloud for Mama Sue.Thomas wanted Mama to listen to him say his two times table and his brothers and sisters joined in.Even 18-month-old Victor wanted to have a go. He doesn't like to miss out on anything!

Two national flags are raised at the start of the week assembly at Happy House School.Our scout group marches solemnly to raise and salute the Kenya standard a followed by the Union flag, as a mark of respect for our founders Mama Sue and Papa Dave.The national anthems of both countries are sung by the whole school.It was this ceremony that inspired Harry's talk to our family now on lockdown at home.
