Santa's call for help

With 166 days to Christmas, our Santa is on a recruitment drive.
He is looking for friends to help him fill his festive sack full of goodies ready to deliver to our 58 Happy house girls and boys.
With such a large family, Mama Sue, Papa Dave (and Santa) have to start  thinking about Christmas early.
Every child will receive three small gifts including a new item of clothing.
The summer sales about the start we are appealing to you to add a Happy House child to to your shopping list.
Last year DawnHeather White, who sponsors Katana, threw out a £3 challenge to her colleagues asking them to buy clothing in the sales for our kids - and what a lot we got. they really took the challenge to their hearts and sent our children some really beautiful clothes, bought at bargain prices.
So please can you buy an item of clothing - boys shorts, t-shirts, dresses, skirts, tops are ideal - for children aged from 12 months to 15.
If you prefer to buy something other than clothes, Mama has a wish list on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/registry/registry.html?ie=UTF8&type=wishlist&id=4JQKTPSM05F, which will give you an idea of our most wanted toys etc, gifts most suitable for our children. It isn't cast in stone, just a guide for you.
But please remember that weight is a real issue. Please think light!
Between now and October you can post your gifts to Mama Sue Hayward, at 49 Victoria Mansions, Newton Drive, Blackpool, FY3 8QG. A huge saving on postage to the Happy House.
Mama Sue says: " To our children who were living in poverty, and neglect, Christmas was just another day - another day living in the shadow of fear, hunger or abuse. Now they no longer exist with shadows. They are safe, happy, confident and, above all, loved.
" Having a family Christmas with all the trimmings and a visit from Santa makes magical memories.''
