Race against time to register kids

With the new education system, all children of school age a are required to be registered nationwide
Registering each child has added a huge amount to the workload of of staff in schools.
Each serial number on each child's birth certificate must be filled in on an online ministry of education platform, along with the details of parents or guardians, the name of the county and sub-county of birth.
Each child will then be issued with a unique PIN number which will see them through the entire length of their education.
The government will be following up trying to minimize school dropouts as all schools will be required to be giving updates.
Notification of any child transferring to another school must be made and each school has already been given a special code.
It all sounds straightforward, but it begins with a birth certificate but many parents just haven't registered their kids and the new system is causing long queues at registration offices and in cyber cafes, as the majority of schools do not have internet access.
Our head teacher Mr Isaac and computer teacher, Mr Omoi, have been working flat out in our computer room to try to get the information input online just as soon as they can obtain it from parents.
They have already covered more than half the school population and are keen to get the remainder registered and returned by the ministry's deadline day.
