Getting things right
The new school bus is being fitted out with seats but when Papa Dave wasn't happy with the quality of wood being used he insisted the the garage get it right.
As Mama explains in this video, the quality of the finished product is paramount as is ensuring that every penny that has been donated to buying this new vehicle for Happy House is spent wisely.

David plays perfect host
Eyes light up when Mama Sue produces a bag of sweets at the weekly Kidz Club at Happy House, Watamu.
And there is no shortage of volunteers to hand them round.
This week it was Stevie and David who did the honours.
David was very serious about the task ensuring that each child only took one and waiting until all had been served before picking one out for himself.
The perfect host!

Babies meet
Mama and the family were happy to welcome Carly and Stephen Kilshaw when they came to visit Happy House with their baby, Reuben.
They are regular visitors to Watamu and having heard lots about our wonderful Happy House wanted to see it for themselves.
It was also a chance for baby Reuben to meet our baby James!
Carly, Stephen and Reuben came along with Carly's mother and brother, Jenny Parsons, and her Sam.
We were grateful for their gifts of pens, arts materials, shampoo, toothbrushes and nappies, wipes and soap.
They planning to come back to visit and to continue to help support our family.
Thank you for taking time out of your holiday to come to see us.

James gets a haircut
Almost six months old and the youngest member of our Happy House family, baby James has just had his first haircut. And very smart he looks too. James, a foundling who came into our care into he was just days old, is a really happy little boy and you can see in this video with his Mama Sue, our charity founder. He is sitting up and trying to crawl and smiles through everything. Mama said he had such a mop of hair they thought birds might nest in it!

Sunshine on wheels!
Last week, we were able to bring you the wonderful news that our new Happy House school mini-bus had arrived!
The bus, bought with your amazing donations, still had to be made ready for use as a bus as they are imported without seats or fittings.
The Government requires that all school buses should be in a livery of yellow and black ... sunshine on wheels!
In this video, presented by Papa Dave, we are transported to a local garage in Watamu where the bus has been resprayed.
It won't be long before it on the road and it is all thanks to YOU!
